CPF places importance on participation among factories, farms and communities, and therefore engages with stakeholders by using community tools such as geo-social mapping, building dialogues to explore community requirements and set promotion plans, creating community engagement, and improving quality of life, all of which enable harmonious coexistence between communities and the Company's establishments. In 2022, Thailand operations adopted community requirements to develop into various projects including the CPF Growing Happiness, Growing Futures Project to promote good nutrition in children and youth studying in schools around factories and farms, Creating and Maintaining Community's Way of Happiness Project, Community Drinking Water Project, and Eggshell Fertilizer for Community Project, all of which are part of CPF’s effort to promote community quality of life. Moreover, CPF has supported more than 8,000 communities in the operations in Thailand, Vietnam, Turkiye, Cambodia, Laos, India, Philippines and Malaysia, such as the Chicken Herd with Red Scarfs Project in Vietnam, and Growing Clean and Non-toxic Vegetables Project in Laos.
The “Three Collaborations for Community Enterprise Development Project” is implemented in collaboration with three sectors: Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen Campus, the Company Sai Mun Slaughterhouse from the Northeastern Region Swine Business Unit and Sai Mun Sub-district Municipality in Yasothorn Province. The project trains and shares knowledge of safe food processing for the Company pork products. The Project brings research into practice and offers hands-on trainings to help the community learn and further advance their knowledge.
