Nakhon Ratchasima’ Disability Service Center, National Office for Development of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, and Charoen Pokphands Foods PCL (CPF) held a training programme to increase awareness on workplace safety and social welfare for CPF’s employees with disabilities.

Ms. Juthamas Chartkasem, Director of Nakhon Ratchasima’s Disability Service Center, said the center operates multi services, supporting 80,000 disabled people in the province to achieve a better quality of life. Among those number, half of them are working either in the private or public sector.

The center added that training programme with CPF will help the disabled employees to make the best use of government welfare services.

“The training program helps disabled people to gain access to the government welfare such as Disability Living Allowance Health Care, supporting equipment and Etc. With these information, the disable person can be self-dependent,” Ms. Juthamas said

It also urges private sectors to host training programme regularly to update details of the government welfare policy.
