Nakhon Ratchasima - Ban Nong Payom community in Nakhon Ratchasima launched “the Promotion of Supplementary Occupations and Local Product Development’ project to generate extra incomes for the communities. The project is supported by Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CPF) as part of the company’s sustainability goal to build Self-Sufficiency Society”.
Mr. Siripong Aroonratana, Executive Vice President of Chicken Integration Business (Northeastern Region) at CPF said the company, as a good corporate citizen, has a role to create sustainable growth for the community. CPF has been supporting this project since 2010 with an aim to help the community gain additional income besides farming.

The company also improved water and sanitation infrastructures in the community to ensure that the community will received clean water.
Since 2017, CPF and Ban Nong Payom community has been working together on traditional dessert project which aims to create more permanent jobs in the area.
The company provides advice on business strategy and also uses the dessert as a welcoming gift within for plant’s guests, generating 240,000 baht per year to the community.
Mrs. Praneet Sranoi, Village Chief at Moo 4 ban Nong Payom said it is an opportunity for the locals to generate more income. Moreover, it creates jobs for the elders and housewives, helping them to be able to be financial independent.
The project is part of CPF’s business strategies and social responsibilities towards sustainable business under the three pillars including “Food Security”, “Self-Sufficiency Society”, and “Balance of Nature”.
