Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CPF) has transferred breeding and farming technology to farmers focusing on five core good practices comprised breeding, feedmeal, housing, management and disease protection to guarantee safety foods sustainability.
Dr.Narin Romlamduan (DVM.), senior vice president of Animal Health Diagnostic Center of CPF, said the company always provides knowledge on farm and management standards to farmers. They are core principles to ensure good health of animals. This is also a key factor to protect diseases.
Inaddition, five core good practices are also important to breed animal healthy. For instance, good breed will give strong animal, good feed will encourage animal growing well at their age, good housing with hi-tech equipment under Evaporative Cooling System will comfort animal, as well as good farm management in line with the Livestock Development department and international standard will support increase farm efficiency.
"Other related factors include early warning practice should be installed to protect diseases both from outside area into farm. Farm restrictions for human entering into farm must be imposed to protect animal health as well as monitoring and assessment system should be implemented as well," said Dr.Narin.
