Mr. Pokorn Kaewtong, a computer expert in Ubon Ratchathani and owner of Pakorn Farm, has joined CPF’s contract farming in 2015 after the suggestion from his friend. “I was impress with the farm management that I saw from my from my friend’s pig farm. The best thing is that doing contract farm pose no marketing risk,” he said.

  
Pakorn Farms is one of CPF contract farm, consisting of 3 pig house that capable of raising 1,800 pigs. 

The farm management is guided by CPF since the preparation phase. Good practices has been shared to the farmers. Moreover, the company has set up the meeting with other contract farmers to share on successful farm management, farming techniques and encourage Mr. Pakorn.

A concept of coexist between pig farm and community is the first priority in his farm. Biogas and ventilation system has been installed to get rid of pig farm’s unpleasant smell. The used water from biogas process will pass to the vegetable garden within the farm. 

Other strong point of Pakron farm is a tight biosecurity. All cars and humans that enter the farm must be sprayed to ensure of the cleanness.
