Lotus Aquaculture Lanka (Private) Ltd. , an oversea investment of Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods), donated essential goods to vulnerable people, who affected by the financial crisis, in Vattavan Village.
Wichit Kongkheaw, president of Lotus Aquaculture Lanka, which operates a shrimp hatchery, shrimp farm and shrimp feedmill in Sri Lanka, says the purpose of this program was to support the people affected by the Country's’ economic crisis at Vattavan Village, Located near Lotus Aquaculture Lanka Shrimp Farm.
Dry Rations worth LKR 900,000 were provided to 200 families in the Vattavan village who were identified to be below the poverty line by the Divisional Secretariat Office of Vakarai. The essentials were handed over by volunteers from the company, managements from Vakarai Ocean Aqua Cluster, and local government agencies.
