CP Foods currently holds a leading position among food industry corporations for its substantial use of renewable energy. In the spirit of this commitment, the recent alliance with CP Foton to trial electric vehicles for farm transportation marks a critical milestone. The all-electric trucks are anticipated to decrease reliance on fossil fuels and curb greenhouse gas emissions, embodying a sustainable and eco-friendly business model. Mr. Somkid emphasized that the poultry industry is committed to integrating innovation and technology to enhance efficiency and diminish emissions. The partnership between CP Foods and CP Foton is predicted to yield significant savings in fuel usage and maintenance costs through the application of EV electric trucks at the Subsanoon farm. The three-month pilot period (May-July 2023) will inform future vehicle adoption strategies. Plans to extend the use of EV electric trucks to other farms, including Wang Somboon Farm and Kanchanadit Farm 1, are currently being developed. Lastly, Kritsana expressed that CP Foton, as a front-runner in commercial vehicle manufacturing, is dedicated to meeting customer needs and nurturing trust. Their 6-wheel electric truck, the FOTON Aumark iBlue 85, aligns with CP Foods' eco-friendly business operations and CP Foton's commitment to carbon neutrality and zero greenhouse gas emissions (net-zero), in line with governmental policies. This partnership represents a significant step forward in steering both companies towards their shared sustainability goals.
