CP Foods continues its mission to create a sustainable society by inviting participants nationwide to join the charity run event "CPF RUN FOR CHARITY." This initiative promotes good health among Thais while supporting charitable causes. All proceeds after expenses are donated to public service entities across various provinces, including hospitals, schools, communities, government agencies, and non-profit organizations. Over 70 organizations have benefited, receiving a total of approximately 17 million baht from 38 events held so far.
Mr. Rewat Hathaisattayapong, Head of Feed Business at CP Foods, stated that CP Foods emphasizes promoting good health for employees, their families, and the general public through charity running events. CPF Running Club was established in 2016, consistently enhancing event standards through advanced technology and safety measures. The club also provides running technique training. Now in its 10th consecutive year, the activity encourages physical exercise and good health among Thais, promotes provincial tourism, and fosters community well-being.
"Charity running events significantly benefit society by promoting health and community engagement. Additionally, the company is committed to organizing carbon-neutral events, helping combat global warming by calculating and managing greenhouse gas emissions from participant travel, energy usage, food consumption, and rigorously sorting waste. The events also minimize unnecessary resource use, such as plastic packaging, encouraging environmental awareness among participants," said Mr. Rawat.
Participants actively contribute to reducing global warming, as CP Foods provides running shirts made from recycled plastic bottles, uses biodegradable materials like banana leaves and paper for food packaging, and ensures meticulous waste separation for recycling purposes. CP Foods will continue these beneficial initiatives, hosting charity running events twice a year. The next event, CPF ZOO RUN "RUN FOR CHARITY SEASON 4," will take place at Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Si Racha District, Chonburi Province, on March 23.
