25th April 2020 -- Lt. Gen. Thammanoon Withee, Chief of the First Army Region, and Mr. Prasit Boondoungprasert, chief executive of Charoen Pokphand Foods (CP Foods), jointly handed over food supplies to people in Pattana Mai community in Khlong Toei district, Bangkok.
Lt. Gen. Thammanoon said “The First Army region and CP Foods’ food from heart to the communities in need”, aims at offering food support for low-income people in Khlong Toei’s communities, helping them to get through financial difficulties during COVID-19 outbreak.
Mr. Prasit added that the company gave curry meal packs that can be easily reheated in boiling water for 5-7 minutes instead of using a microwave machine.
The covid-19 relief project has given foods to a total of 8,499 households, included 1,058 families today, in 22 communities of Khlong Toei district in order to support Thailand and its people to overcome COVID-19 crisis. It is also in line with CP Foods’ good citizen organization philosophy that strive forward to operate with social responsibility.
