Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) has joined hands with the Royal Thai Army to deliver the 15 new-built houses to people in need in Klong Toey slum community at Block number 4, 5 and 6 area, Klong Toey district, Bangkok. These are a part of the second phase of CP Group-Royal Thai Army joint-project to help rebuild 47 homes for those poor people living in the area.
The handover ceremony was participated by the deputy army chief, Lt Gen Charoenchai Hinthao and CP Group Chairman Soopakij Chearavanont. The project aim to improve the quality of life and create well-being for vulnerable groups in Bangkok.
Moreover, CP Group also distributed Andrographis paniculata herbal medicine to the residents as a part of "Growing Andrographis Paniculata” project, initiated by CP Group Senior Chairman Dhanin Chearavanont, in a bid to enable Thai people access quality medicine.
Previously, CP Foods had joined the project with the Royal Thai Army and handed over 49 houses to vulnerable groups in block 4-5-6 communities. In this year, CP Foods has agreed to continue to fund the second phase of the project to build 47 houses, worth 8,798,000 baht. The effort will promote good hygiene, safety and orderliness in the the underpreviledged community and in turn increase the quality of life for people.
The project expected to be able to deliver all 47 houses by March 2022.
