CPF organizes activities to promote equality, diversity, and acceptance within the organization, focusing on the participation of employees with disabilities. Additionally, it supports the creation of a diverse and friendly work environment for everyone. These initiatives generate soft power for the company's image through organized activities, resulting in external parties perceiving the company's warmth and care towards its employees.
Kris Kongthanadarakorn, Staffing and Talent Management Senior Director at CPF and Chairman of the LGBTQ+ Club, stated that this event serves to inspire and foster a positive attitude towards collaboration, particularly by promoting diversity through the participation of employees with disabilities and their assistants (buddies). This helps to enhance knowledge and skills in working with individuals who have special needs. Additionally, the activities extend their impact to the broader society by promoting sustainable social opportunities and equality.
The event included several activities such as a panel discussion on the topic "Opportunities and Equality in the Workplace," featuring both government and private sector representatives sharing knowledge, experiences, and organizational policies. Additionally, employees with disabilities and their assistants (buddies) participated in cooking Chicken Wraps using CPF products as the main ingredients. This not only enhances teamwork skills but also fosters good relationships within the organization. Another activity, "Know Me, Know You," provided an opportunity for employees with disabilities and their buddies to introduce themselves and build mutual understanding, thereby practicing effective social and team-working skills.
CPF employs 807 individuals with disabilities. The company focuses on providing opportunities for everyone to leverage their diverse potentials to create benefits for both the organization and the community. This approach helps individuals with disabilities to take pride in themselves, improve their quality of life, and reduce social issues. CPF believes that people with disabilities can contribute significantly to the nation. This commitment aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 8, which emphasizes decent work and economic growth. Additionally, CPF contributes to building a "self-reliant society," one of the three pillars of its corporate social responsibility strategy towards sustainability.
