Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) is intensifying its commitment to innovation by partnering with VEGA Instruments Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of VEGA Germany. This collaboration focuses on enhancing efficiency in the animal feed production process, a critical component of CP Foods’ Smart Feed, Smart Farm, and Smart Factory initiatives.
The cooperation agreement was officially signed by Mr. Rewat Hathaisattayapong, Head of Feed Business at CP Foods, and Mr. Peerapong Krinchai, Head of Corporate Engineering at CP Foods, alongside Mr. Sombat Tantiwong, Managing Director of VEGA Instruments Co., Ltd. The signing ceremony took place at CP Tower in Silom, marking a significant step forward in CP Foods’ ongoing efforts to integrate cutting-edge technology into its operations.
Mr. Rewat emphasized that CP Foods operates a fully integrated agro-industrial and food business, with a strong focus on transitioning towards modern agriculture, or Agri Tech. "Innovation and technology are at the heart of our strategy to enhance production efficiency, particularly in animal feed production. The Smart Feed initiative is a crucial part of our supply chain, contributing significantly to food security," he stated.
The partnership with VEGA introduces advanced radar sensor technology to CP Foods' animal feed production process, enabling real-time measurement of raw material levels. VEGA's precise and reliable measurement solutions, from raw material monitoring to product storage, will significantly improve CP Foods' ability to control and plan production processes. This ensures that production is aligned with customer demands, optimizing resource use and storage management.
"CP Foods and VEGA have enjoyed a long-standing partnership aimed at improving the efficiency of our animal feed production across all 14 of our factories in Thailand, as well as our operations in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Cambodia. We are confident that VEGA’s expertise will continue to support CP Foods in achieving our vision of becoming a leader in Agri Tech," Mr. Rewat concluded.
