Rewat Hathaisattayapong, Head of Feed Business at CP Foods extended his congratulations to CP Foods' business partners who were honored at the MSME National Awards, recognizing them as top national entrepreneurs. These awards celebrate SMEs that demonstrate effective business management, adherence to high standards, transparency, good governance, and sustainable operations, in alignment with the Thailand Quality Award (TQA) criteria. The event was organized by the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) in collaboration with Thammasat University (TU) at Chatrium Grand Hotel, Bangkok.
This year marks the 16th edition of the awards, with Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, presiding over the ceremony. Among the awardees were CP Foods' business partners Asian Pokphand Co., Ltd., an agricultural business specializing in pig farming in Sa Kaeo Province, which received the Best National SME Award in the Agricultural Business sector and the Better Community award in the Family Business of the Year category. Mr. Pirapat Orawetsanti, Chairman of the Executive Board, accepted the awards on behalf of the company. Another partner, King Eggs (Thailand) Co., Ltd., an agricultural business focused on egg-laying chicken farming in Chachoengsao Province, received the SME National Awards for Outstanding SME in the Agricultural Business sector, with Mr. Chanuwat Siwamok, Chairman of the Executive Board, accepting the award.
CP Foods, through its Customer Potential Development Unit in collaboration with the Business Strategy Development Unit, Land Animal Feed Business, has been instrumental in sharing knowledge on organizational management excellence (CP Excellence) with its business partners. This includes supporting the development of courses to enhance customer potential and encouraging participation in competitions like the MSME National Awards. The awards assess seven key criteria: leadership, business planning, customer and market focus, knowledge measurement, analysis and management, human resource management, process management, and business results.
This year's MSME National Awards saw participation from 538 businesses, competing for recognition in two main categories: the MSME National Awards, honoring 40 outstanding national entrepreneurs, and the MSME Provincial Champion Awards, recognizing 77 outstanding provincial entrepreneurs.
