Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CP Foods) showcased its high-quality products Groundwater Network Conference 2022 in Bangkok. The booth was visited by Deputy Prime Minister and senior government officers.

General Prawit Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, presided over the Conference at the Vayupak Grand Ballroom, Centra by Centara Government Complex Hotel and Convention Center Chaeng Watthana, Bangkok. The conference, in which this year theme is "Value-added groundwater Developing Thai Economy" was also joined by notable figures such as Permanent Secretary to Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment Jatuporn Buruspat and .Sakda Vicheansil. In support of the event, CP Foods displayed its high quality food products and giveaway food samples to the participants.  Voravit Janthanakul, Exec VP - General Admin Unit at Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CP Foods),  said that  the company, as a leading food producer that feed billions of people across the world with “Kitchen of the world” vision, recognizes that water is a crucial resource for food production. As a result, CP Foods has integrated Circular Economy and 3Rs principle, which is Reduce, Reuse, and Recycled, into its water management principle throughout its supply chain. The goal is to minimize water footprint in its operations.

“CP Foods adheres to the philosophy of 3-benefits according to the CP Group's policy, which is benefit to the Country, the People and, lastly, the company. We are committed to sustainable water management to drive business and the country's economy as well as helping Thai farmers,” Mr. Voravit said.

Multiple programs have been initiated by the company to improve water consumption efficiency. This included the 'Groundwater Bank Project' in Phanom Sarakham District, Chachoengsao Province. The project enables farmers to have sufficient water supply during the drought problems. Mr. Voravit added that the company plans to extend the groundwater bank project to other areas, using the successful project in Phanom Sarakham District as a guideline.

At the event, CP Foods brings award-winning and popular products to the exhibition under the concept "Put Our Heart Into Food", including Benja Chicken, Shrimp Wonton, CP Boiled Egg, Cage-free Fresh eggs, CP Selection and Meat Zero.
