Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) was earned two Thailand Corporate Excellence Awards 2024 in the Distinguished Awards category, including the Marketing Excellence and Product/Service Excellence Award. Chirayu Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, Privy Councillor, presented the awards to Siripong Aroonratana, Chief Operating Officer - Livestock Business at CP Foods at the Excellence Award 2024 ceremony. The event was organized by the Thailand Management Association (TMA) in collaboration with the Sasin School of Management, Chulalongkorn University.
The Marketing and Product/Service Excellence Awards recognized CP Foods' vision of “Kitchen of the World with Sustainovation” through continuously delivering high-quality food products while emphasizing sustainable development that seamlessly integrates innovation, technology and food excellence. This approach has made the production processes more efficient, environmentally friendly, and socially responsible, elevating product standards to reach consumers worldwide.
CP Foods is committed to developing health-promoting products by integrating innovation to enhance the quality of production processes, ensuring internationally standardized products that increasingly meet consumer demands. For example, their Omega-3 enriched pork and Benja chicken have been certified for their rearing standards by NSF, a leading U.S. organization for international product safety certification. Additionally, they are the first and only meat products to receive the ‘Heart-Saving Food’ certification from the Heart Foundation of Thailand under Royal Patronage.
At the same time, CP Foods has applied technology to communicate with consumers by creating distinctive and standout campaigns that have become global phenomena, such as "Thai Chicken – Mission to Space", which will meet NASA's advanced space-grade food safety standards for astronauts. This initiative extends to collaborating with numerous partners and allies to provide consumers with highest standard of food safety. Additionally, CP Foods has implemented a Digital Traceability system to reinforce marketing sustainability, allowing consumers and partners to scan QR Codes on packaging to verify the origin of ingredients from source to end product.
Furthermore, CP Foods is the world's first food manufacturer to have approved both short-term and long-term targets aligned with the Forest, Land and Agriculture (FLAG) standards, which are specific to the agriculture and food sectors, from the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The company aims to reduce net greenhouse gas emissions to zero by utilizing SAP systems innovations that track and calculate carbon emissions in real-time across the entire value chain, thereby supporting the achievement of Net-Zero goals more rapidly and effectively.
At the event, Rewat Hathaisattayapong, Head of Feed Business at CP Foods, also congratulated their partner, Ko Taeo Foods Co., Ltd., which operates egg chicken farms in Songkhla Province. The farms meet GAP standards and have GHPs & HACCP-certified egg collection centers, along with modern rearing and management processes that are socially and environmentally responsible. CP Foods supported and promoted Ko Taeo Foods in participating in the TMA Excellence Awards 2024, where they received the SMEs Excellence Award in the Manufacturing business category at the Silver level.
