Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) handed over “CPF Growing Happiness, Growing Futures,” project at Pa Rai Pa Chad Wittaya School, Pa Rai Subdistrict, Don Tan District, Mukdahan Province to the local government.
The project will be a model learning center to create a learning process and promote access to quality, safe and nutritious food for youth.
Walaiphan Noisantia, Deputy Governor of Mukdahan Province thanks the project for the promotion of nutrition among youth. She says “The private sector, the government and the civil society are the three important sectors in the implementation of the project. This firmly cause sustainability in the future. This project contributes to the creation of good nutrition for children and create good opportunities for schools to become a source of safe food production that everyone can learn from,"
CP Foods is committed to conducting business with social and environmental responsibility under the strategy of 3 pillars for sustainability: “Food Security, Self-Sufficient Society and Balance of Nature”, as well as raising awareness and encouraging employees to participate in giving back to society by taking care of the community around the operation.
As a result, “Raising Layer for Student's Lunch” project was initiated 34 yeas ago to enable children and youth to access nutrient food source. To date, there are 905 schools participating in the project across the country. It helps more than 180,000 students and is also a learning center for agribusiness management for 12,000 teachers and 1,900 communities. “CPF Growing Happiness, Growing Futures,” is an extension of such a successful project. It supports over 80 schools in the area surrounding the company's factories and farms, covering more than 16,000 students.
