Pol. Gen. Permpoon Chidchob, Minister of Education, led the signing ceremony for the "Partnership School Project" Memorandum of Understanding. Joining him were Mr. Sanan Angubolkul from The Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Thai Industries, and Mr. Mechai Viravaidya, Chairman of the Mechai Viravaidya Foundation, who initiated the project. This collaboration represents a significant step towards enhancing Thailand's educational standards through cooperative efforts between government, private sector, and civil society to transform educational institutions into high-quality learning centers.
During this event, Mrs. Kesthip Suphawanit, Deputy Secretary-General of the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC), signed the agreement with private sector executives, including Mr. Prasit Boondoungprasert, CEO of Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CPF), along with executives from CP Group’s subsidiaries companies such as CP All, True Corporation, and leading private sector representatives from civil society at Ministry of Education.
The Minister of Education highlighted the Memorandum of Understanding as a strategic initiative to enhance the Thai education system. This collaboration aims to establish sustainable educational development and create inclusive opportunities for the new generation. The partnership marks the beginning of concrete national-level educational advancement, and other entrepreneurs are invited to join this valuable developmental effort.
Mr. Prasit Boondoungprasert, CEO of CPF, affirmed the company's commitment alongside CP Group affiliates CP All and True Corporation to support the Ministry of Education in promoting sustainable educational development. The companies' expertise is pivotal to Thailand's educational transformation.
CPF has been engaged in the Partnership School Project since 2018, with this Memorandum of Understanding extending the collaboration for five more years. Currently, CPF manages schools in Nakhon Ratchasima province, including Thongchai Nuea Wittaya School (Khok Sila) and Ban Wat Community School.
