RD Center of Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) unveiled three
foods innovations for better health of consumers at Thailand Research Expo 2022 organized by the
National Research Office (NRCT), Ministry of Higher Education, Science,
Research and Innovation together with its network across the country.
Parichat Luangthongkum, AVP in Food Research at CP Foods, says the company, with Kitchen of the World Vision, has continuously developed new innovations to offer future food experience with high quality food that are safe and having high nutritional status for consumers of all ages.
Three of the outstanding innovation are on show at the Expo, including Thailand Research Expo 2021’s Award winning Probiotic supplements “Bifio Probiotic Plus”. The supplement contains probiotics, good microorganisms that help promote intestinal health, and improve the immune system to prevent allergies, colds and flu.
The expo also marks an official debut of "Planature", a plant based dietary supplement for weight control. The plant based supplement consists of all the nutrients that body needs, such as carbohydrates, proteins, as well as fiber. When combined with probiotic supplemenrt, it will increase the efficiency and also strengthen the immune system.
Also, CP Foods showcases Food Safety Sustainability, one of the Expo finalist. This project uses biomolecular techniques to create a comprehensive food safety ecosystem, starting with the invention of the contamination detection kit in the manufacturing sector and collected them as DNA Barcode. The innovation enable CP Foods to trace back the contamination to the source of diseases. The procedure can significantly improve food safety as the company are able to detect food contamination in products before they are sent to consumers
