In collaboration with the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources, Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CP Foods) and the Ban Hin Kob fishing community in Pathio District contributed to Thai sea conservation by releasing 20 million blue swimming crabs, planting mangrove trees, and collecting beach waste to support food security in Chumphon. CP Foods' volunteers took action to protect the Gulf of Thailand's ecosystem at Ban Hin Kob beach. Employees released crab larvae, planted 1,000 mangrove trees, and collected coastal waste to promote sustainable food security.
CP Foods organized a conservation tourism activity through its Volunteer Tourism Club, aligning with its mission to protect the environment and biodiversity. This initiative brought together employees as volunteers to support surrounding communities, with guidance from the Department of Marine and Coastal Resources on mangrove planting and marine conservation.
Employees also visited the “Learning Center for Breeding and Nursing Blue Swimming Crab Larvae” in Ban Hin Kop, a model fishing community with a "Community Blue Swimming Crab Bank" established in 2015. The center breeds crab larvae to restore marine resources, supporting local fishing sustainability. The event included collecting 98 kilograms of coastal waste and planting 1,000 mangrove trees, enhancing green spaces and strengthening the marine ecosystem.
CP Foods employee Wilairat Sukkham expressed joy in contributing to society and learning about local blue swimming crab conservation and mangrove planting.
