Charoen Pokphand Foods Pcl (CPF) continues to support vulnerable elders in CPF's Fund for Elderly”
project with extra safety measurements during Covid-19 outbreak.
Recognizing the importance of providing care for the elderly who contributed to their family and the community, the company launched the project in 2011. The aim of this project and the fund is to find a sustainable solution to continuously support the vulnerable elders, increasing their quality of life and enable them to live happily.
The project has provided underprivileged elders surrounding the factories and farms with foods, funds and essential goods on a monthly basis.
Extra safety measures have been put into place to minimize potential harm during the outbreak. While visiting the elders, volunteers are required to wear a face mask and hand gloves. The volunteers and the elders must stand at least two meters apart from each other.
They must also sanitize their hands regularly as well as following health and safety guidelines from the Ministry of Public Health.
Currently, there are 833 elders joining the project, including 388 newly joined participants in this year. They will receive essential goods and monthly allowance of 2,000 baht.
