CPF extends partnership with Connext ED’s schools

Bangkok, September 12, 2018 – Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CPF) announce the extension of its partnership with Connext ED Project (Leadership Program for Sustainable Education) to raise standard of the education in Thailand. The company will sponsor 123 schools in the second phase.

 

The company has set a strategy to pave a new learning path through occupational skill training and first-hand experience from an internship in a private sector. It will ultimately build a young generation with strong academic performance, life skills and ethical standard.

 

Mr. Sukhawat Dansermsuk, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) - Food Business and Co-President at CPF, said the company will extend its support to 123 schools including 35 schools from the successful first phase and 88 newly joined schools.

 

In this phase, the company aims at cultivating the locals, government, private sector and schools develop education program together.

 

To achieve the goal, CPF is currently recruiting 57 new young talent employees as school partners. The volunteers will work closely with the sponsored schools to design the curriculum and activities.

 

It will partner with the community to develop a learning methods that meet the demand of the local community. It will also improve capacity of teachers to develop effective student-centered learning process as well as helping students to access digital learning tools.

 

“CPF has already outlined our strategy. The school partners will visit their supervised schools at the end of the year to research and discuss with managements from each school and develop a tailor made plan with clear objectives before implementation phase,” he said

 

The project is a cooperation between the government and private sectors with a primary goals to mitigate educational inequity, develop people’s potential, and increase competitiveness to students.

 

Currently, over 1,000 of school partners from leading organizations are participate in the projects to privde a guidance for 4,600 partnered schools.
