CPF extends financial aid program to all employee in CP groups

After the successful financial aid program with employees from pig business, Chareon Pokphand Foods PCL (CPF) officially announced that the “Debt Free, Happy life” saving program is now extend to all employees who work for CP group.

The programs is initiated to improve CPF’s employees’ quality of life by reducing their household debts.
Mr. Putthachart Phaiphut, Vice President at CPF, said the program is initiated by CPF in 2015 to provide support in terms of low-interest loans and consulting for debt-laden workers. After a successful result with employees in pig business, the program is now extended to all the employees within CP group.
In this year, the program emphasizes on those who work at the pig farms to introduce basic financial management, enabling them understand the causes of their debt, how to manage their debts through documenting their household spending and incomes.

CPF has set the target that half of pig farm’s workers and supervisors will implement household budget. The company will also keep records of saving of the workers to build financial disciple and stability.

“People at farms have very limited knowledge about saving. They spend on day-to-day basis without a plan. Therefore, showing them how to save money can improve a quality of life to them. The number of loaner has drop significantly due to the employees have done better financial management.

Mrs. Jitpinun Rattanachaisuwan, Vice President at CPF, added that Since 2015, the program has been providing financial supports for debt-laden workers at CPF’s farm by cooperating with financial to give very low-interest loans to its workers.

As of Feb 2017, the “Debt Free, Happy life” saving program has provided financial solution to 274 employees from 12 pig farms nationwide.
