Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CPF) gave shrimp hatchery farm and shared its expertise on shrimp business to Rajamangala University of Technology Tawan-ok on Chonburi. The new facilities will be a learning point for young talents and also the shrimp farmers in local communities.
Dr. Nonthasak Piamphon, Dean of Facultry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, said the faculty’s students are facing difficulties due to an outdated facilities and equipment, resulting lack of skills and knowledge required for modern shrimp farming.
The faculty’s staffs and student will learn how to use new technologies and modern farming technique such as how to prevent disease from CPF’s employees.
“The new hatchery which will be complete in May is funded by CPF. It will keep the students up to date with a new technology in shrimp business.” Dr. Nonthasak said.
Mr. Premsak Wanuchsoontorn, CPF's Senior Vice President said the support aims at creating new talents who understand modern shrimp farming technology and, consequently, strengthen the whole shrimp business.
